Oh dear Lord, It's been a while since I've written a proper Bio! So here it goes. For many of you, I am named Gothika, Goth or Gothii, but my true name is Marinka. You will know me by my brand Gothika Design. I'm born in 1988 in a town on the eastern border (It's a 30 minute drive-with-car from Germany) of the Netherlands. I've been sharing my love for animals, mostly horses, trough digital art, but as some of you might know I've been practising Traditional art for quiet a bit now too. It all started when I was really young, but due to circumstances I never got further than a hobby I was really good at. I've been trying different different subjects but never was able to succeed more than 1 year into school. It turned out I have ADD, and I 'stopped' making art somewhere around 2012. This is when my mother passed away (Cancer for the third time). I have been trying to turn my life around in 2016, and after a strange dream, about a year later, I really felt I needed to draw again. I gave myself a gift of a drawing tablet, and soon after gave myself a better one. I WAS HOOKED. I started drawing digital again every day. But I just missed experimenting, so I went on doing Inktober in 2017 and using pen and ink again. I was a total rookie. It didn't go very well. In the meanwhile I experimented with Copic markers.

In 2018 I did inktober again, and decided to do a theme. Which turned out nice. But the last few days where really rough, and I half arsed those days. I did some watercolor portraits in that year, but quickly stopped after, because I didn't feel experienced enough.

2019 I joined in on Inktober AGAIN. I wanted to focus 100% On doing only Ink, and minimal color. Plus I wanted to use gold or silver. It went great. This was a really rough year; 1 of my dogs passed away due to fast spreading leukemia, and at the same time I also lost my dad, whom I was in absence of contact for 5 years, until I heard he was deadly Ill and I putted on my bold shoes and called him. I've been speaking to him about 3 times before he passed away from Cancer trough all of his body.

At the start of 2020 I decided to pick up a course called Drawing and Painting. I've been painting everyday since then. Quarantaine being absolutely no problem as I'm just focussing on my art lol and I work from home.

2021: I'm currently working on ART prints for my website, and growing an audience on youtube and TWITCH. I'm also working on Traditional commissions. In 2020 I decided I want to do this as my profession, so I'm working to that. It just takes time. I do LIVE video's about 1/2 times a week on my Twitch (twitch.tv/gothikah) And started a youtube channel, which now has multiple video's. My Goals are currently:

- Making actual profit off my art

- Selling Art prints

- Gain a following! I'm on Twitch (gothikah), Deviantart, Youtube(Gothika Design), Facebook(Gothika Design) and Instagram! (gothikadesign)

- Finishing my Art course with an 8+ (Which is an A*) My number 1 fave to draw, is animals, in particular horses! Will I do inktober ever again? Most likely! My favourite drink is Coffee, which I drink Black, Like my soul (haha hahaha hahahaha!). And frankly I don't drink anything other than tea, water and coffee. I'm on 20:4 intermittend fasting and I meditate, do Qigong and enjoy walking my dogs. Im quiet Spiritual. My favourite food is probably chicken and veggies. I really enjoy salads but my comfort food is Turkish Pizza (With a turkish salad inside!) I drink water ALOT. My favourite medium is hard to say now. I really enjoy working with ink, watercolor, acrylics and softpastels! But I also tried graphite and charcoal and I also do enjoy those. My favourite art supplies I can't live without: My sennelier watercolors, Graphite pencil or charcoal - Kneading eraser - ballpoint pen (Or brush and ink!) and my digital tablet and pc. If i have these I can already live XD My least favourite art supply is probably markers, but maybe I will some time rekindle love .
